About us
PlaceHub is a Dutch marketplace for spaces you rent by the hour or for part of a day. Hosts list their gym, studio, hall, meeting room, desk or outdoor site together with the hours they have free; you pick a slot and pay online. The rental agreement is between you and the host. We bring the two of you together and handle the payment.
What PlaceHub does
Every listing shows the hourly price, what is in the room and which hours are open, so nobody has to phone around for the basics. You pay through the platform by iDEAL, card or Bancontact. The host is paid after your booking has taken place, and if a host turns your request down you get the full amount back. Hosts are verified before their spaces become visible. Hosts pay 15% on the rent of each booking, and listing a space costs nothing.
What PlaceHub does not do
We do not rent out spaces ourselves and we are not a party to the rental agreement. The host sets the price, the house rules and the cancellation terms for each space, choosing from the three fixed policies on the site. If something goes wrong we mediate, but the space remains the host's.
Money and safety
Payments run through Stripe, our payment provider. Reviews can only be written after a paid booking. Every space has a report button, and reports are checked by our team against the house rules. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
The company
PlaceHub is a Dutch company registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK). The registration number is shown at the bottom of every page and on your invoice. Questions, press and partnership requests all go to info@placehub.nl.
