Rent a space in Maastricht

Finding a room for a few hours in the Netherlands used to mean phoning around in Dutch. PlaceHub puts the listings of hosts across the country on one site: a sports hall for Tuesday evening, a meeting room for one morning, a studio for a Saturday class, each with the hourly rate, photos and open hours.

Spaces in Maastricht

Nothing is free in Maastricht at the moment. Have a look at spaces in the towns nearby.

The search page always shows everything that is listed, including just outside your search area.

Why rent a space through PlaceHub?

What you rent depends on what you are planning. Training and classes point you to gyms and studios, meetings to meeting rooms and desks, parties and gatherings to halls. Every category has its own page and filters; this page shows everything together, so you can see what is actually available in your city.

You rent directly from the owner or manager, who sets the price, the house rules and the hours they release. PlaceHub handles the booking and the payment. If a host declines your request or does not respond, the full amount comes back to you.

The whole site works in English, from the search filters to the checkout and the chat with the host, which matters if you have just arrived and your Dutch is still a work in progress.

Renting a space in Maastricht

Maastricht sits far enough south that Liège and Aachen are closer than Eindhoven, which makes it a natural meeting point for a group split across three countries. The city is built from marlstone, and the vaults and cellars underneath the old centre give a shoot or an event a setting you will not find anywhere else in the Netherlands. The university also draws a large international crowd, so English is entirely normal here, not an exception. Book one of those underground rooms for something that needs to feel different from a standard hotel conference space, and it will.

The spaces in Maastricht all show the hourly rate, the facilities and reviews from earlier renters before you book anything.

Frequently asked questions about renting a space

What kinds of space can I rent?

Gyms and sports halls, yoga and dance studios, photo studios, meeting rooms and desks, halls and party venues, workshops, kitchens, treatment rooms, classrooms, pop-up shops and outdoor sites. If your type is not listed, search by what you plan to do: hosts mark each space with the activities it suits.

How long can I book for?

From one hour up to however long the host has free. The shortest booking each host accepts is shown on the listing; for a full day you simply pick a longer slot.

Is there a contract or membership?

No. You pay for the slot you book and nothing else; there is no membership, deposit or notice period. Coming back regularly? Book again, or ask the host through the chat about a standing arrangement.

How does booking through PlaceHub work?

Find a space, choose a date and time slot, and pay online by iDEAL, card or Bancontact. The confirmation email arrives immediately with the practical details you need, and if the space is set to instant booking, your reservation is final the moment you pay.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. How far ahead you get the full amount back depends on the cancellation policy the host chose for that particular space, and that policy is stated on the listing itself. You cancel it yourself from your bookings overview.
