Rent a studio in Amsterdam

PlaceHub lists studios you book by the hour, straight from the person who runs them: light-filled yoga studios with wooden floors, dance studios with a full mirrored wall, photo studios with a backdrop system already rigged. Filter by style if you want a particular feel, industrial, full of daylight, or plain and empty.

Every studio has its own page with photos, the floor area, the facilities and notes from earlier renters, so you know in advance whether there is a sound system, how many people comfortably fit, and how short a booking you are allowed to make.

Payment runs online through iDEAL, card or Bancontact, and the confirmation email arrives straight away in English. How far ahead you can cancel without cost is set by the host per studio, and it is written on the listing rather than buried in a contract.

Amsterdam is expensive, and space here costs more per hour than anywhere else in the country. What you get in return is a city small enough to cross by bike: the ride from the Zuidas to Noord takes about fifteen minutes and includes a free ferry. English is spoken almost everywhere, which is not true of every Dutch city. Book a canal house or a warehouse on the IJ, and your guests will remember the room as clearly as the programme.
