Why rent a venue through PlaceHub?

On PlaceHub there is no guessing involved: the hourly rate, the capacity, the photos and the facilities all sit on the listing before you commit to anything, down to whether there is a kitchen, a bar, a projector and sound. The host's house rules are there too, and they matter more than people expect, covering the end time, noise limits and whether you may bring your own drinks.

You book by the hour or the half-day, so an evening does not cost you a full day's rate. Filter by style if you are after a particular feel; an industrial warehouse and a homely community hall both count as venues here, and the booking itself works in English whoever owns the space.

Want to arrive early to set up, or bring your own catering? Ask through the chat before you book. Most hosts can schedule the extra time without any trouble, but only once they know you need it.

Renting a venue in Zwolle

Anyone travelling from the north or the east of the country passes through Zwolle sooner or later. The station is a junction where lines from four directions meet, and the old Hanseatic centre sits directly behind it, so a room booked near the station puts every attendee within a short walk. For a training day or a meeting that needs to pull people from Groningen, Twente and the west at once, that junction does the scheduling for you.

The venues in Zwolle all show the hourly rate, the facilities and reviews from earlier renters before you book anything.

Frequently asked questions about renting a venue

What can I actually rent a venue for?

Birthdays, meetings, training days, workshops, rehearsals, community activities. What the venue is released for is stated on the page, together with the house rules that apply.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

The host decides that. Some venues run their own bar or work with a fixed caterer, others leave you entirely to it, and the answer is in the house rules; ask if you are unsure.

How far ahead should I book?

For a weekend evening, a few weeks ahead is wise, since those hours are the most in demand. Last-minute bookings work too: the calendar shows exactly what is free, and at venues with instant booking your reservation is confirmed the moment you pay.

What happens if the host does not reply?

If a venue is not on instant booking, the host reviews your request first. Should they decline it, or let it lapse without a response, you get the full amount back.

How does booking through PlaceHub work?

Find a space, choose a date and time slot, and pay online by iDEAL, card or Bancontact. The confirmation email arrives immediately with the practical details you need, and if the space is set to instant booking, your reservation is final the moment you pay.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. How far ahead you get the full amount back depends on the cancellation policy the host chose for that particular space, and that policy is stated on the listing itself. You cancel it yourself from your bookings overview.
