Can I give a presentation with a screen and microphone?
At spaces with a screen or projector and a sound system, yes; that is listed under facilities. A microphone is less of a given, so ask if you need one.
May I sell tickets for my event?
Generally, yes, as long as it fits the host's house rules. Do mention it: a paid event with an audience is different from an internal get-together, and the host wants to know what is happening in their building.
What if more people turn up than expected?
The capacity on the listing is the limit, for safety as well. Work with sign-ups, and if in doubt choose a space with some margin.
